BCCI select MS Dhoni for T20 World Cup 2021- Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been selected as the mentor of Team India in the T20 World Cup.

The Board of control for Cricket in India has announced India’s 15-men Squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021. Board has also taken responsibility to MS Dhoni in this world cup. BCCI makes Mahendra  Singh Dhoni mentor of India T20 WC Squad. 

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who was the captain of the Indian cricket team in all three formats, has been selected for the upcoming T20 World Cup. By the way, Dhoni retired from international cricket on 15 August 2020. But the Indian Cricket Board has selected MS Dhoni as the mentor of the team for the T20 World Cup to be held from 17 October 2021. BCCI secretary Jay Shah, along with the announcement of the 15-member team, also told that Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) will be seen in the role of mentor during this period.

MS Dhoni to play mentor at ICC T20 Men’s World Cup 2021 

India has won two World Cups (T20 World Cup 2007 and ICC World Cup 2011) under the Leadership of wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni, one of the most successful captains in the history of the Indian team. In such a situation, it seems that he has been selected for this role considering his experience in devising strategies for limited-overs cricket. MS Dhoni knows how to win in important ICC tournaments. Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni played his last match for India in the World Cup-2019. After that now he is seen playing in IPL only.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly thanks MS Dhoni for accepting an offer to Mentor Team India for T20 WC 2021 

Cricket Board of India President Sourav Ganguly thanked MS Dhoni for accepting the offer as a mentor in Team India and said that the former Indian captain’s experience will be of great help to the India team. Dada, as he is referred to by his fans, is delighted to have former Indian Captain Cool MSD on board as Team India’s mentor for the T20 WC being hosted in the UAE and Oman.

ICC T20 World Cup 2021 India Squad Announcement Highlights

BCCI and All-India Senior Selection Committee on Wednesday picked the Indian Cricket Team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 which will start from 17th October 2021. Shikhar Dhawan and Yuzvendra Chahal have been dropped from the Indian T20 15-men squad. R Ashwin, Varun Chakravarthy, and Rahul Chahar make the cut, while Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, and Deepak Chahar are named as standby players.
