The franchise has retained players like Rohit Sharma – Rs. 16 crores, Jasprit Bumrah – Rs. 12 crores, Suryakumar Yadav – Rs. 8 crores, and Kieron Pollard – Rs. 6 crores during the retention window.

The franchise had to let go of players like Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, and Trent Boult. The franchise has won the IPL title 5 times with their most recent win in IPL 2020 Season.

Tymal Mills will make a comeback to the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time since 2017. He played for 5 matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) that year picking up 5 wickets in 5 matches. Mumbai Indians (MI) added him to their Team squad for INR 1.50 crores. Tymal has played twelve T20Is for England. Alongside Jasprit Bumrah, Tymal Mills can be a good opening partner from the other end given that both are completely different bowlers.

Tim David was snapped in for a whopping INR 8.25 crores by the franchise. He is still a relatively new name in international cricket. David has made a reputation as a big-hitter playing across various T20 leagues. He made his IPL debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2021 playing just one game. It will be interesting to see how Mumbai Indians use the power hitter along with Kieron Pollard in the middle-order.

Kieron Pollard has been playing for Mumbai Indians since 2010 and has been their most consistent overseas cricketer. In 178 games for the franchise, Kieron Pollard has scored 3268 runs with 16 ’50s to his name. Pollard has also hit 214 sixes & 216 sixes in the IPL tournament. He will be shouldered with the responsibility of finishing games for his team.
