The International Cricket Council has started the second edition (2021–23) of the Test Cricket Championship. For this, the board has released the Schedule Team List, Match Date, Stadium Name and Team Ranking. WTC 2nd Edition will start from 4th August 2021 and end till 31st March 2023. The first match of the tournament will be played from 4 August to 14 September 2021 in the Pataudi Trophy (English vs India) Eng vs Ind Test series.
Nine members of ICC will participate in the tournament which is as follows – Australia India, South Africa Bangladesh, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, England, Pakistan, and West Indies.
Three full members of the ICC who are not allowed to participate: Afghanistan, Ireland, and Zimbabwe
World Test Championship Format
The WTC tournament will be played for two years with 69 matches in 27 series. Each team has to play 6 series, with 3 at home (Home) and three outside (Away). Each series will consist of two to five Test matches. Each participant will play 12 to 22 matches. Each match is scheduled for a period of five days. ICC World Test Championship Points Table (2021-23)
So far only 2 bilateral test series have taken place in ICC WTC 2021-2023. India vs English and Pakistan vs West Indies and both these series were part of the ICC World Test Championship. WTC Points Table – Points System
If you are a fan of cricket then you would definitely like to see the rank and WTC points table of each team. The ICC has given the points format of the World Test Championship League. This time there is a change in the points system as compared to the previous version. There will be 12 points for each match in this edition. Then no matter how many matches are there in the series. 12 points for a match won, 6 points for a tie, 4 points for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. IPL 2021 Team Squad
