India’s Predicted Playing 11 and Squad for SA Tour

IND vs SA – Due to the emerging of COVID-19s new variant, Omicron, multiple reports suggest that both the boards have decided to postpone the tour by a week. India is all set to play 03 Tests, 03 ODIs, and 04 T20Is.

The 1st Test Match is in between India-South Africa will be played at Johannesburg, followed by the 2nd match at Centurion (26th December) and the 03rd match at Cape Town on 03rd January.

According to the sources, reports suggest that the T20Is have been postponed due to COVID-19.

It will be another tour for Team India as there would be strict COVID rules in place due to the emergence of the Omicron variant. The Team India was set to land in South Africa on 09th December and it could be late.

The announcement of the Team squad will be done soon. A few players like Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah – would join the side.

For the South Africa tour, India could pick a 20-member squad. A few new faces would also be a part of the tour like Rutiraj Gaikwad  & Harshal Patel. Along with Surya Kumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer has been in sublime form in red-ball cricket.
