India's Big Win in first-ever Test Match

India made history on its first-ever victory in a Test match in Centurion against South Africa.

Mohammed Shami  and Jasprit Bumrah took 03 wickets each. Fast bowler Mohammed Siraj took 2 wickets and off-spinner R Ashwin dismissed the last 2 batsmen.

Resuming on 94 for 4 in a score of 305 to win, South Africa were bowled out for 191, losing their last 3 wickets in the first 2 overs.

India was in command from the 1st day when KL Rahul’s century enabled them to make 272 for 3 after winning the toss.

The entire 2nd day was lost to rain and conditions proved more difficult for batsmen when play resumed on the 3rd day, with fast bowlers of both sides exploiting indentations on the pitch which caused variable bounce.

Mohammed Shami took 5 for 44 in the 1st innings to give India a crucial lead of 130 runs. He finished with match figures of 8 for 107.

For the First Time, India win by a 1-0 lead in the 3-match World Test Championship Series and boosted their chances of winning a series in South Africa for the 1st time.
