List of Players retained by CSK ahead of Mega Auction – For IPL 2022 Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has announced the player’s name they have retained four players ahead of the mega auction by 30th November 2021.
All 08 franchises were given the option of retaining four players ahead of the mega. The BCCI had said that teams can retain players in two sets. They could either pick 03 Indian players along with 01 overseas player or 02 Indians and an equal no. of overseas players.
It was not an easy choice just because there are no. good performers in the franchise, but with no option, they had to make some difficult calls.

CSK has retained Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, prolific opener Ruturaj Gaikwad, and all-rounders Superstar Ravindra Jadeja & Moeen Ali.
CSK has retained Jadeja as Player 1 for INR 16 crore, Dhoni as Player 2 for INR 12 crore, Moeen as Player 3 for INR 8 crore, and Gaikwad as Player 4 for INR 6 crore.
