The Indian Premier League (IPL) on February 1st officially announced its final auction pool, which has been reduced by half from its original list of 1214 (One Thousand Two Hundred Fourteen) players. The Final List of the Auction Pool includes 590 players, who will go under the hammer during the 2-day mega auction on February, 12, 13th 2022. This final list includes 44 new names that were registered in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction upon the request of the franchises.

Of the 590 players, there are 228 capped players, 355 uncapped, & 7 from Associate countries. A total of 47 players from Australia will be participating in the IPL 2022 Auction the names include such as Aaron Finch, Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, and David Warner amongst others. Various other players in that list have the potential to lead an Indian Premier League (IPL) team & the franchises might break the bank behind them.

The IPL 2022 is also known as IPL 15th Season or, Tata IPL 2022. Indian Premier League is scheduled to be the 15th season of a professional Twenty20 cricket league which is established by the BCCI in the year 2007. The season will see the addition of two new franchises named Lucknow Super Giants, Ahmedabad (TBD). This will make it the 2nd season to have 10 teams, after the 2011 tournament.

Among the 590 players, there are 370 Indian Players & 220 overseas Players. 48 players have been placed in the Rs 2 crore, 20 players have been placed in Rs 1.5 crore and 34 players are in Rs 1 crore. After the IPL 2022 Auction, the 15th season is scheduled to start late in the month of March and run till the end of May Month.

The second day of the Mega Auction for the IPL 2022 15th season will be likely to host in the Garden City of Bengaluru. According to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials are planning to host the IPL 2022 Auction Pool on 12^th, 13^th February 2022.
