The Indian Premier League (IPL) upcoming edition is scheduled to be played in India in 2022. Mega Auction will take place start of the tournament. The IPL 2022 season will consist of 10 teams with the addition of Ahmedabad & Lucknow franchises. All the existing IPL 8 franchises will have to submit their list of retained players by 30th November 2021.
From 1st December to 25th December, ahead of the auction, the 2 new franchises can pick their 3 target players.

IPL 2022 Retention List – Live Updates
Most of the IPL franchises have already revealed some of their retentions.
M.S Dhoni, Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma are set to be retained by Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and Mumbai Indians (MI) resp. Both the Rajasthan Royals & Delhi Capitals will retain Sanju Samson & Rishabh Pant as their skippers in IPL 2022. On the other hand, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is all set to retain the likes of Venkatesh Iyer, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, & Varun Chakravarthy. New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson will be the only retention by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the mega auction.
