He made his Twenty20 debut for Delhi in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 21 February 2019. He made his List A debut on 4 October 2019, for Delhi in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

In IPL 2020, Rawat was bought by Rajasthan Royals for the Indian Premier League but remained in the squad. In February 2022, he was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore at the 2022 Indian Premier League auction.
