The Live Auction of Players for the Indian Premier League 2022 is going to be held on 12th and 13th February 2022. A total of 590 players will be bought by a total of 10 IPL franchises. This time 10 teams will participate in IPL season 15, before that eight teams used to play. There are 10 teams in IPL – Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, SunRisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans.
On February 1, the BCCI released a list of 590 players for the IPL auction. Each IPL franchise can keep up to 33 players in its team. According to IPL auction rules, a team can retain 4 players. The released list will have 370 Indian players and 220 overseas players. Overseas from different countries like Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, Sir Lank. So far, 10 franchises have picked a total of 33 players in their squad.

IPL 2022 Mega Auction Date Announced- Check Retained & Released Players List
Each existing team and two new teams are allowed to retain a maximum of four and three players before the IPL Auction 2022. Now the IPL Auction Date & Time announced and to be held at Bangalore on 12 & 13 February 2022. Board of Cricket Control in India has released a List of Players shortlisted for IPL Mega Auction 2022.
According to BCCI rules, each IPL franchise can spend 90 crores to buy players. An IPL franchise can spend 42 crores on a total of 4 retained players. 16 crores can be bid on the first retain player, 12 crores on the second, 8 crores on the third and 6 crores on the fourth. The remaining players will be auctioned in the auction by the remaining Purse Value after retention.
IPL 2022 Teams Purse Value and Deductions
The purse value of each IPL franchise is fixed at 90 crores, meaning a team can spend a total of 90 crores to buy players. Each team can retain only 4 players. After the retained players, the remaining amount will have to be spent in the Mega Auction.
All the teams of the Indian Premier League have been offered a purse of Rs 90 crores from which deductions will be made depending upon the retention and purchasing of the players that they will be doing. For teams that will be retaining four players, an amount of Rs 42 crores will be deducted from the purse of the Teams. On retained Players, an amount of Rs 42 crores will be deducted from the purse of the Team- The value format of the retained players is-
