Jos Buttler’s full name is Joseph Charles Buttler.  He was born on 08th September 1990. He is a 31-Year-old English cricketer who is the current vice-captain of the England ODIs and T20Is teams and plays for the England Test team. Jos is one of the best white-ball batsmen in the whole world.

He represents Lancashire in the Domestic Cricket, having previously played for Somerset, and has also played in several T20 leagues. Earlier he played for the Mumbai Indians Franchise and now he played for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. Jos Buttler made his T20I debut in the year 2011, ODI debut in 2012, and Test debut in 2014. He made won the 2019 Cricket World Cup of England Team, during the Super Over which sealed victory in the end.

He is a right-handed wicket-keeper-batsman. Buttler is England’s 2nd-most-capped T20I player after Eoin Morgan. Along with Adil Rashid, he has the world record for the highest 7nth-wicket stand in ODIs: 177 against New Zealand (MZ) during their 2015 tour of England. Jos Buttler was born in Taunton, Somerset, on 08th September 1990. He was educated at King’s College, Taunton, where he shows his early talent in cricket. Jos is England’s 2nd-highest run-scorer in T20Is after Eion Morgan, He holds the England T20I record for most half-centuries, and is 1 of only four Englishmen to score a T20I century in the history. As a wicket-keeper Buttler holds the England ODI records for most catches (181), stumpings (32) & dismissals overall (213), and the England T20I records for most catches (37), stumpings (10) & dismissals overall (47).

Jos Butler played a lot of cricket for Somerset. Butler was an integral part of Somerset’s youth teams. He represented the county at U-13, U-15, and U-17 levels.

From the college, he graduated Jos also played for the King’s College. In the year 2006, he finished the season with the school’s leading batting average. Buttler had scored 447 runs at an average rate of 49.66. In his school cricket career, he scored 227 runs unbeaten and was involved in the 340 runs along with Alex Barrow in April 2008. Butler also captained King’s College Team during the 2008 season.

Butler made his 1st-class debut for Somerset senior team in the year 2009. He joined the team replacing an injured Player Justin Langer. His debut match itself was for the County Championship match against Lancashire. He was able to retain his place in the team for the following match against Hampshire and even made it to Somerset’s squad for the 2009 Champions League T20.

After playing for the Somersets, Butler decided to move to Lancashire at the end of September 2013. Recently, He announced that Jos had decided to extend his stay with Lancashire, and announced a new 3-year contract with the club on 27th May 2016.

Jos Butler made his Indian Premier League IPL debut after he was bought by the Mumbai Indians (MI) during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. In the 2018 IPL Auctions, He was bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for a whopping price of 4.4 crores.

ODI Career

Jos Buttler made his ODI debut against Pakistan in Dubai in 2012. He made his name in the England ODI squad at Edgbaston against the South Africa cricket team. England was on 64/3 when Jos Buttler joined Somerset teammate Craig Kieswetter showing his strength in the batting.

He even stacked 30 runs from an over which went for 32 runs from Wayne Parnell. Jos Buttler is a crucial player in the English squad. Since then, Buttler has been an important part of England’s ODI squad. He played an important role in England’s victorious 2019 World Cup Campaign.

Test Career

During the Ongoing series against India National Cricket Team in 2014, Jos Buttler got his maiden Test call up for the England squad. Buttler made his Test debut against India on 27th July 2014. In the over 30 Test matches which Jos Buttler has played till now, he has been performing consistently with an average rate of over 35.

T20 International Career

Jos got his first international call-up when he was in the senior England squad for the T20 International against the touring Indian team. He made his debut as a batsman. Since the day he debuted, Jos has been a T20 specialist for England.
