In 2000, he was selected by a panel of cricket experts as one of the 5 Wisden Cricketers of the Century, the only specialist bowler selected in the quintet, and still playing at the time.
Shane Warne played his 1st Test match in the year 1992 and took more than 1,000 wickets in the Tests and ODI series. Until 2007, He picked up 708 Test wickets was the record for the most wickets taken by any bowler in Test cricket.
