IPL 2022 – 4 Choices of Overseas Players of Lucknow Supergiants (LSG)
Lucknow Supergiants bought eighteen players in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Jason Holder, Manish Pandey, Quinton De Kock, Avesh Khan, and Krunal Pandya are some of the most important buys for the LSG team. The Lucknow Supergiants franchise cricket team had already drafted KL Rahul for Rs. 17 Crores, Marcus Stoinis for Rs. 9.2 Crores and Ravi Bishnoi for Rs. 4 Crores during the retention.
Lucknow Supergiants is a team that is packed with all-around options for the side. Gautam Gambhir (Mentor) has focussed specifically on picking up the multi-talented cricketers for the team. They have a good pool of Indian and overseas options to choose from among all other players. KL Rahul will be the captain for the team side and under the mentorship of Gautam Gambhir is expected to be a little more aggressive. Meanwhile, in this post, take a look at the 4 overseas players, the franchise would like to include in their Playing XI for Lucknow Supergiants.
- Marcus Stoinis
- Quinton de Kock
- Jason Holder
- Mark Wood
Marcus Stoinis
Marcus Stoinis was picked by the franchise. He would perform the all-rounder’s role to perfection for the Lucknow Supergiants Team. His impressive numbers with Delhi Capitals (DC) made the franchise add him to their Team squad. Marcus will probably bat anywhere between number 4 to number 7 in the batting order in almost every match. Stoinis was recently a part of the Australian team that beat Sri Lanka (SL) 4-1 in a T20I series.
Quinton de Kock
For Lucknow Supergiants (LSG), KL Rahul will have a new opening partner named Quinton De Kock. He has proved his worth as a consistent performer for the Mumbai Indians (MI) Franchise Cricket Team. He won 2 titles with Mumbai Indians and would like to contribute to Lucknow’s also. Quinton will also keep wickets for the franchise team which will let KL Rahul concentrate on his batting & score the runs for his Team.
Jason Holder
Jason Holder was being seen as a great captaincy for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) bagged him in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction and strengthened their side. Jason Holder adds flexibility to the batting. He can bat anywhere between number 4 to number 7 or 8 in the line-up and can deliver 4 overs for his captain consistently.
Mark Wood
Mark Wood can be the 4th player in the playing XI for the Lucknow Supergiants. He will add the pace factor to the bowling attack which will be crucial for the side. Alongside, medium pacers like Jason Holder, Marcus Stoinis amongst others, Mark Wood’s raw pace can be used as a surprise factor by the franchise cricket team.
