Punjab Kings (PBKS) is a franchise cricket team based in Mohali, Punjab. This team will play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 15th Season. It was founded in 2008 as the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). The franchise is jointly owned by Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia, Mohit Burman, & Karan Paul. The team plays its home matches at the PCA Stadium, Mohali. Since 2010, they also have been playing some of their home matches at either Indore or Dharamsala.
Apart from the 2014 season they topped the Indian premier league table & finished runners-up, the Punjab Kings team has made only 1 other playoff appearance in the 13 seasons. The Punjab Kings (PBKS) played in the now-defunct Champions League T20 once, in 2014 as the Team Kings XI Punjab finished as semi-finalists. The team name was changed in February 2021 Kings XI Punjab to Punjab Kings. The Board of control for Cricket (BCCI) earlier announced the IPL 2022 schedule. The season will starts on 26th March 2022 with Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders playing the 1st game of the 15th season. Punjab Kings (PBKS) play their 1st game on 27th March 2022 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the DY Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai. It is the 2nd of the two matches that day with DC and Mumbai Indians playing a 3:00 pm game as well.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) Full Schedule
The BCCI has finalized 4 venues across the state of Maharashtra to host 74 IPL Tournament matches. Wankhede & DY Patil Stadium will host 20 matches each. Brabourne stadium in Mumbai and MCA Stadium in Pune will play hosts to 15 matches each. The board has also finalized to allow 25% of the crowd to enter the stadium for the 1st phase of the 15th season of IPL 2022.
