Ranji Trophy 2022 - Full schedule, Squads

The Ranji Trophy 2021-22 is the 87th season, the premier 1st-class cricket tournament in India. The tournament has been split into 2 phases, with the league stage scheduled to be played from 17th February to 15th March 2022, and the knockout phase is scheduled from 30th May to 26th June 2022.

Due to the delay of the tournament because of the Covid-19 pandemic, teams were split into 08 Elite groups, instead of 05 as per previous editions, and the Plate Group. The 07 teams that win their Elite Group with the best points will progress to the knockout phase.

Ranji Trophy 2022 – Full Schedule, Date, Match Timings

The BCCI has announced the return of the tournament in 02 phases – one before the IPL and the other after the cash-rich league. There will be a total of 08 elite groups and a plate group has been designed with 04 sides in each elite group. The plate group will have a total of 06 teams.

All teams will play against each other in elite groups whereas all teams in the plate group will play against 03 teams in their group. The tournament is all set to be scheduled from 17th February 2022, with the knockouts scheduled to return in the second phase after the Indian Premier League. Saurashtra is the defending champions while Mumbai leads the title tally with 41 wins.
