Robin Uthappa was born on 11th November 1985 in Kodagu, Karnataka. He is an Indian cricketer who plays for Team India as well as for Kerala in domestic cricket. Robin Uthappa debuted in IPL by Mumbai Indians (MI) Franchise in 2008.
Currently, He is playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL. Robin made his ODIs debut in the 7th and final match of the English tour of India in April 2006. Uthappa had a successful debut, making 86 as an opening batsman. In a limited-overs match, it was the highest score for an Indian debutant.
He played a crucial role in Team India’s win at the 2007 ICC World Twenty20. Robin finished the 2014–15 Ranji Trophy season as the highest run-scorer in that season as well as the highest run-scorer that year in the Indian Premier League. Robin Uthappa Domestic Career – During Challenger Trophy 2005, Robin Uthappa first came into the spotlight for his inning of scoring 66 runs for India B against India A. For the same tournament, he scored a splendid match-winning century in just 93 balls. He was also part of the India Under-19 team during the 2004 ICC U19 cricket world cup. In just 7 matches Uthappa scored a massive 857 runs in the 2006-07 Ranji Trophy Seasons, which made it fetching to keep him out of the national team.

Robin Uthappa IPL Career
Robin Uthappa played the first season for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the year 2008. In the next year, he reciprocates with Zaheer Khan and then played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In 2011, He scored a few 50s then after he went to the Pune Warriors India (PWI) for about INR 9 Crores.
In the 2014 season, he was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders. Robin started playing as an opener and won the orange cap that season. Uthappa broke the record of Matthew Hayden (8) and scored 11 (40+) in the 2014 IPL season.
Uthappa was one of Kolkata Knight Rider’s star turns in the title-winning efforts in the year 2012 and 2014 with an aggregate run of 405 and 660 runs. After that, he was brought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for INR 3 Crores during the IPL Mega Auction 2020. Robin Uthappa has hammered 4427 runs from 180 IPL matches and become one of the highest run-scorers in the IPL tournament.

ODI Career
Robin made his debut in ODIs in 2006 against England in Indore. There he smashed 86 runs. In the 2007-08 NatWest series, Uthappa was brought back to the team in 2007-08 in NatWest Series and got a chance to play in the 6th match. Robin was included in the Indian ODIs squad for the last 2 matches against Sri Lanka in November 2014. He was also included in 30 men’s Indian squad for the 2015 Cricket World Cup, as well as also included in Indian Team which toured Zimbabwe in the year 2015.
T20 Career
Robin was also part of the World T20-winning Indian team in 2007. In total 7 matches, he had stacked 113 runs, and a strike rate above 113. In 2007, Uthappa was the first Indian player to make a half-century in a T20I match against Pakistan. Robin also holds the world record for 10 consecutive 40+ scores in Twenty20 Internationals.
