Shubman Gill was on born 08th September 1999 in Fazilka, Punjab, India. He is an Indian International Cricketer who plays in domestic cricket for Punjab as a right-handed opening batsman. Shubman was the vice-captain of the India Under-19 team for the 2018 cricket World Cup.
Shubman made his List-A debut in 2017 against Vidharbha and first-class debut in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, in late 2017, for Punjab against Bengal. He made his international debut for Team India in January 2019.

Shubman Gill was named as the vice-captaincy of the U-19 World Cup team in 2017. There he led from the front and became the highest run-scorer for the Indian Team.
In August 2019, Shubman was assigned as the captain of the India Blue Team for the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy. In October 2019, He was selected as the India C team for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy captain. In November 2019, Shubman became the youngest cricketer to Lead a Team in the tournament. He was 20 years old. He beat Virat Kohli’s record, when he was just 21 years old, during the 2009–10 tournaments.

U-19 Career
At the age of 17, His international debut for the U-19 Indian cricketer team came against England. In that Tournament, he hit 2 back-to-back centuries.
Shubman Gill shone in the World Cup, by smashing 372 runs from 5 innings and finishing 2nd in the rankings. In the Group B match against Zimbabwe, Shubman Gill scored 90 runs from 59 balls as Team India beat Zimbabwe by 10 wickets. In the quarter-final, he hit 86 off 94 balls with Team India beating Bangladesh by 113 runs.
He scored a century in the semi-final against Pakistan, hitting an unbeaten 102 from 94 balls. India won by 203 runs with Shubman Gill winning the Man of the Match award in that tournament. In the finals against Australia, Shubman scored 31 runs from 30 balls, winning the U19 World Cup for a record 4th time.

He could only assemble up 9 runs in his 21-ball and was gone out by Trent Boult.

After hitting a double century against West Indies (WI) A side in the Caribbean. Shubman Gill was in India’s Test squad for their series against South Africa (SA). However, in February 2020, Shubham was again named in India’s Test squad for their series against New Zealand Cricket.
