
Suryakumar Yadav to miss the Match for Kolkata Knight Riders against Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman Suryakumar Yadav may not be available in the match of the team against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on 06th April 2022 as the player hasn’t completely recovered from his injury. Suryakumar had a hairline fracture on his thumb during the T20I series against West Indies (WI) last month and was ruled out of the Sri Lanka T20I matches.
Surya is currently undergoing his rehabilitation process at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Besides, He might not be fit to play the 1st IPL match for the Mumbai Indians (MI).
“Surya is currently at the NCA doing his rehabilitation. He is well on his way to recovery but there is a possibility that his participation in the opening game will be a real touch-and-go affair,”
“So there could be a possibility that he might be advised by the board’s medical team to not risk playing the opener,” he said

Suryakumar was one of the 4 players retained by Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL retention window. However, It is expected that he will play the Next match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on 09th April.
“I think by the next MI game, he would be 100 % match fit. It is likely to be more of a precautionary measure if he doesn’t play the first game,” the source said.
He was bought by MI in the IPL auction 2018 and played for them for 4 seasons where Suryakumar Yadav scored 1733 runs for them from 50 IPL games.
Therefore, In the last season where he scored 317 runs from 14 matches. But the franchise has shown their faith in his skills backing him on his batting prowess.
