Shoaib Malik can Contribute big time for Pakistan in T20 World Cup

The Pakistan Cricket Board has made important changes in the Pakistan squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The board has recalled Shoaib Malik in the team in place of middle-order batsman Shoaib Maqsood due to injury. Former Pakistan skipper Shaheed Afridi has praised this decision of the board. Afridi lauded the PCB for including Malik in the team, saying that veteran Shoaib Malik can make a big contribution to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik will make his sixth appearance in the 20-20 World Cup later this month. Malik has been included in the Pakistan 15- Member Squad in place of injured middle-order batsman Shoaib Maqsood.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has recalled cricketer Shoaib Malik back to its T20 World Cup squad. Earlier this 39-year-old cricketer was not selected in the 15-man squad. Malik has been named in place of Sohaib Maqsood, who was out of the team due to a lacerated back injury.

All the players of Pakistan are appreciative of this decision of PCB and also a big contribution of this experienced player can be given to the Pakistan team.

Pakistan’s Samma TV played a Video to Celebrate Malik’s return 

Pakistan’s Samma TV played a video celebrating Malik’s return to the team, explaining the changes taking place in the country but the cricketer remained a constant figure for the Pakistan team.

Malik played his first international cricket in 1999 and has been one of Pakistan’s most successful batsmen since then. Apart from this released video is also about Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi who was born after Malik’s international debut and will now play together in the T20 World Cup starting from October 17.

Malik has featured in all the last six editions of the T20 World Cup and has performed brilliantly in the last edition of the Pakistan Super League.

PCB’s statement of Shoaib Malik Return to Pakistan Squad 

“In his (Sohaib Maqsood) place and following discussions with the team management, we have decided to include Shoaib Malik in the side. I am sure Shoaib’s experience will be handy for the entire squad,” the country’s chief selector Muhammad Wasim was quoted as saying in the official statement released by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
