The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (Ipl 2022) organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India will start on March 26. For this two-month-long tournament, the board has revealed the groups, formats, total matches and venues.
Indian Premier League chairman Brijesh Patel has also informed that the IPL tournament will end on May 29, 2022. With this, the 10 teams participating in the IPL have been divided into two groups. There will be a total of 70 matches in this league and each team will play 14 league matches. All league games of IPL 2022 will be held in Maharashtra. 70 games out of 74 will be held in four venues in Mumbai and Pune. The Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, Brabourne Stadium, Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Ground and MCA’s Gahunje Stadium Pune will host these IPL 2022 Fixtures.
Wankhede and DY Patil stadiums will host 20 matches each, while the remaining two stadiums will host the rest of the games. Meanwhile, BCCI also mentioned that each team will play 4 matches each at Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium and 3 each at Brabourne Stadium (CCI) and MCA International Stadium, Pune.

Initial 55 Matches will be held in the Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Ground while teams will travel to Pune for the next 15 Games.
BCCI has not confirmed the venue of the Playoffs battels. It is expected that the board is likely to organize the IPL 2022 Playoffs Matches in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Two Groups of Five, Each Team Still Plays 14 League Games in IPL 2022

Apart from the dates, it has also been reported that the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season fifteen will allow around 40 percent of fans to watch the live-action in stadiums.
“The IPL will start from Saturday, March 26,” IPL chairman Brijesh Patel told PTI after the Governing Council meeting on Thursday.
“The audience will be allowed as per the guidelines laid down by the Maharashtra government and initially, it will be 40 percent. If the COVID situation remains under control and there is a decline in cases, it could be a full house on the business end,” said a source.
“Each team will play the same number of games in each stadium. Mumbai Indians will play four matches at the Wankhede Stadium. We have 12 double headers and it was decided that from Saturday (March 26) we are allowed to host doubleheaders on Sundays,” said an IPL source.
